I don't know if I would agree that his intentions are good. Pushing her to do therapy was purely selfish. Now maybe that's the best treatment for PTSD (I really don't know), but his reason for pushing it was that he needed to continue feeling her pain.

I think so. His intentions are good anyway. Whether he's an effective doctor or not, I don't know.
